Description: Forkhead box A1(FOXA1),also named hepatocyte nuclear factor 3-alpha (HNF-3A), is a transcription factor that is involved in embryonic development, establishment of tissue-specific gene expression and regulation of gene expression in differentiated tissues. Is thought to act as a 'pioneer' factor opening the compacted chromatin for other proteins through interactions with nucleosomal core histones and thereby replacing linker histones at target enhancer and/or promoter sites. Binds DNA with the consensus sequence 5'-[AC]A[AT]T[AG]TT[GT][AG][CT]T[CT]-3' (By similarity). Proposed to play a role in translating the epigenetic signatures into cell type-specific enhancer-driven transcriptional programs. Its differential recruitment to chromatin is dependent on distribution of histone H3 methylated at 'Lys-5' (H3K4me2) in estrogen-regulated genes. Involved in the development of multiple endoderm-derived organ systems such as liver, pancreas, lung and prostate; FOXA1 and FOXA2 seem to have at least in part redundant roles (By similarity). Modulates the transcriptional activity of nuclear hormone receptors. Is involved in ESR1-mediated transcription; required for ESR1 binding to the NKX2-1 promoter in breast cancer cells; binds to the RPRM promter and is required for the estrogen-induced repression of RPRM. Involved in regulation of apoptosis by inhibiting the expression of BCL2. Involved in cell cycle regulation by activating expression of CDKN1B, alone or in conjunction with BRCA1. Originally discribed as a transcription activator for a number of liver genes such as AFP, albumin, tyrosine aminotransferase, PEPCK, etc. Interacts with the cis-acting regulatory regions of these genes. Involved in glucose homeostasis.

Description: FOXE3, also named as FKHL12 and FREAC8, is a forkhead transcription factor expressed in the lens which is located at chromosome 1p32, have been associated with both recessive and dominant ocular disease. Defects in FOXE3 are a cause of anterior segment mesenchymal dysgenesis (ASMD). Defects in FOXE3 are a cause of congenital primary aphakia (CPA). This antibody is specific to FOXE3.

Description: FOXO1, also named as FOXO1A, FKHR and FKH1, is a member of the FOXO subfamily of Forkhead transcription factors. FOXO1 is a transcription factor which acts as a regulator of cell responses to oxidative stress. FOXO1 interacts with LRPPRC and SIRT1. In the presence of KIRT1, FOXO1 mediates down-regulation of cyclin D1 and up-regulation of CDKN1B levels which are required for cell transition from proliferative growth to quiescence. FOXO1 contains three predicted protein kinase B phosphorylation sites (Thr-24, Ser-256, and Ser-319) that are conserved in other FOXO proteins. The t(2;13) and the variant t(1;13) translocations generate PAX3/FKHR and PAX7/FKHR fusion proteins respectively. The resulting protein is a transcriptional activator. Defects in FOXO1 are a cause of rhabdomyosarcoma type 2 (RMS2).

Description: Transcriptional activator. Might be involved in the formation of special mesenchymal tissues.Defects in FOXC2 are the cause of lymphedema hereditary type 2 (LMPH2) [MIM:153200]; also known as Meige lymphedema. Hereditary lymphedema is a chronic disabling condition which results in swelling of the extremities due to altered lymphatic flow. Patients with lymphedema suffer from recurrent local infections, and physical impairment. Defects in FOXC2 are a cause of lymphedema-yellow nails (LYYN) [MIM:153300]. LYYN is characterized by yellow, dystrophic, thick and slowly growing nails, associated with lymphedema and respiratory involvement. Lymphedema occurs more often in the lower limbs. It can appear at birth or later in life. Onset generally follows the onset of ungual abnormalities. Defects in FOXC2 are a cause of lymphedema-distichiasis (LYD) [MIM:153400]. LYD is characterized by primary limb lymphedema usually starting at puberty (but in some cases later or at birth) and associated with distichiasis (double rows of eyelashes, with extra eyelashes growing from the Meibomian gland orifices).

Description: FZD10 (Frizzled homolog 10) is a member of the frizzled gene family, and considered as a seven-transmembrane Wnt-signaling receptor. FZD10 is expressed at high levels on the cell surface of almost all synovial sarcoma tissues but absent in most normal organs except for placenta. Up-regulation of FZD10 mRNA in several types of human cells might lead to carcinogenesis through activation of the beta-catenin-TCF signaling pathway with some class of WNTs.

Description: Fucosyltransferase 8 (FUT8) is GDP-fucose-glycoprotein fucosyltransferase and is localized in Golgi apparatus. FUT8 is involved in protein glycosylation by catalyzing the addition of fucose in alpha 1-6 linkage to the first GlcNAc residue, next to the peptide chains in N-glycans. FUT8 may be involved in human aging by regulating protein N-glycosylation and in the molecular pathogenesis of human pulmonary emphysema (PE).

Description: FYTTD1 also termed as UAP56 interacting factor or UIF is a 318 amino acid protein, which belongs to the UIF family. FYTTD1 localizes to nucleus and is required for mRNA export from nucleus to cytoplasm. Functioning as an adaptor, FYTTD1 utilizes the BAT1/DDX39-TAP pathway, which is essential for efficient mRNA export and nuclear pore delivery. FYTTD1 interacts with SSRP1, a protein that is necessary for its recruitment of mRNAs, in addition to a mutually exclusive interaction with BAT1/DDX39 and TAP. The molecular weight of post-translation modified FYTTD1 is observed 50 kDa.
