Description: PARP1 (poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1) is a nuclear enzyme catalyzing the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of many key proteins in vivo. The normal function of PARP1 is the routine repair of DNA damage. Activated by DNA strand breaks, the PARP1 is cleaved into an 85 to 89-kDa COOH-terminal fragment and a 24-kDa NH2-terminal peptide by caspases during the apoptotic process. The appearance of PARP fragments is commonly considered as an important biomarker of apoptosis. In addition to caspases, other proteases like calpains, cathepsins, granzymes and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) have also been reported to cleave PARP1 and gave rise to fragments ranging from 42-89-kD. This antibody was generated against the C-terminal region of human PARP1 and it recognizes the full-length as well as the cleavage of the PARP1.

Description: Adaptor protein, phosphotyrosine interaction, PH domain and leucine zipper containing 1 (APPL1), a binding partner of Akt2 and an important regulator of insulin signaling, plays a key role in the regulation of insulin secretion . APPL1 interacts with adiponectin receptors and mediates the insulin-sensitizing effects of adiponectin in muscle and endothelial cells. It also participates in nuclear signaling and transcriptional regulation, mostly by modulating the activity of various nuclear factors . Apart from its role in endocytosis and endosomal transport, APPL1 was reported to undergo nucleocytoplasmic shuttling and participate in transcriptional regulation, e.g. by interactions with histone deacetylases (HDACs) .

Description: CD23, also known as low affinity immunoglobulin epsilon Fc receptor, is a transmembrane glycoprotein present on a subpopulation of B lymphocytes in germinal centres, EBV-transformed B-lymphoblastoid cell lines, follicular dendritic cells, and a subpopulation of peripheral blood cells. CD23 has essential roles in the regulation of IgE production and in the differentiation of B-cells.

Description: Human major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigens, also referred to as human leukocyte antigens (HLA), are encoded by genes located on the short arm of chromosome 6 (6p21.3). There are two classes of HLA antigens: class I and class II. This class I molecules are membrane glycoproteins composed of a heavy (alpha) chain which is encoded by a HLA class I gene, and β2-microglobulin light (beta) chain. The most extensively characterized members of the HLA class I gene family are the genes encoding the major transplantation antigenes, HLA-A, B and C. HLA-F is a non-classical MHC class I molecule.

Description: High mobility group protein B2 (HMGB2) belongs to a family of highly conserved proteins that contain HMG box domains (11246022,14871457). All three family members (HMGB1, HMGB2, and HMGB3) contain two HMG box domains and a C-terminal acidic domain. HMGB1 is a widely expressed and highly abundant protein (14871457). HMGB2 is widely expressed during embryonic development, but it is restricted to lymphoid organs and testis in adult animals (11262228). HMGB3 is only expressed during embryogenesis (9598312). While expression varies, the biochemical properties of the different family members may be indistinguishable. The HMG box domains facilitate the binding of HMGB proteins to the minor groove of DNA, which results in local bending of the DNA double helix . HMGB proteins are recruited by and help facilitate the assembly of site-specific DNA binding proteins to their cognate binding sites in chromatin. For example, HMGB1 and HMGB2 facilitate the binding of Hox proteins, Oct proteins, p53, Rel proteins, and steroid hormone receptor proteins to their target gene promoters (11246022,14871457). Furthermore, HMGB2 interacts with RAG1 to facilitate RAG complex binding to the recombinant signal sequence (RSS) and stimulate DNA-bending and subsequent VDJ cleavage at antigen receptor genes (19317908 ,10490593). In addition to their functions in the nucleus, HMGB proteins play a significant role in extracellular signaling associated with inflammation. HMGB2 is secreted by myeloid cells and promotes proliferation and migration of endothelial cells by binding to the receptor for advanced glycation endproducts (RAGE) (19811285 ). Research studies have shown that HMGB2 overexpression in hepatocellular carcinoma is associated with poor prognosis and shorter survival time (20851854).This antibody recognizes the phosphorylation form of HMGB2 protein.

Description: Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs), a major group of pre-mRNA-binding proteins, associate with nascent RNA polymerase II transcripts to form hnRNP complexes that participate in various steps of mRNA processing as well as the export, translation and stability of mRNAs. Protein hnRNPU, another hnRNPs family member, is able to stabilize specific mRNAs by binding to their 3′-untranslated regions (UTRs). Moreover, hnRNPU has a regulatory function during the initial phases of transcription activation by affecting the activity of RNA Pol II .
