Description: The human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) particle consists of an envelope, a core and the region between the two termed matrix (1). Description: Hepatoma-derived growth factor-related protein 2 (HDGFRP2) is a widely expressed member of protein family that contains the HDGF related proteins 1-4 and lens epithelial derived growth factor (LEDGF). These family members show extensive homology at the amino terminus (termed the hath region). Description: The Ras-MAP kinase pathway is essential for the differentiation of neuronal cells and myocytes; it is inhibited by Spred1, a member of the Sprouty family of proteins. Spred1 acts by suppressing the phosphorylation and activation of Raf. Description: Activation of NF-kB as a result of Toll-like receptor (TLR) and IL-1 receptor signaling is a major component of innate immune responses. Signals from these receptors are relayed by a number of adapter molecules such as TRIF, TIRAP, and MyD88.
