Description: TAF10 (TATA-Box Binding Protein Associated Factor 10) is the protein that coordinates activities for the initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase II required for activities of more than 70 polypeptides. TFIID binds to the core promoter to position the polymerase properly, serves as the scaffold for assembly of the remainder of the transcription complex, and acts as a channel for regulatory signals. TFIID is composed of the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and a group of evolutionarily conserved proteins known as TBP-associated factors or TAFs. TAFs may participate in basal transcription, serve as co-activators, function in promoter recognition or modify general transcription factors (GTFs) to facilitate complex assembly and transcription initiation. This gene encodes one of the small subunits of TFIID that is associated with a subset of TFIID complexes. Studies with human and mammalian cells have shown that this subunit is required for transcriptional activation by the estrogen receptor, for progression through the cell cycle, and may also be required for certain cellular differentiation programs. Anti-TAF10 Antibody is useful for researchers interested in Chromatin research, transcription factor activity research, and DNA binding and transcription co-activator activity research.

Description: Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (Stat3) belongs to a family of cytoplasmic transcription factors that can be activated by phosphorylation by its cell surface receptor. Stat3 plays a key role in many cellular processes such as cell growth and apoptosis. It also mediates cellular responses to interleukins, KITLG/SCF,EGF, IFN-alpha and other growth factors and may mediate cellular responses to activated FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. Stat3 forms a homodimer or a heterodimer with a related family member (e.g. STAT1). Activation occurs through phosphorylation of tyrosine 705 and serine 727. Phosphorylation of Stat3 at Tyr705 induces Stat3 dimerization and nuclear translocation. Serine phosphorylation is important for stable DNA-binding of Stat3 homodimers and maximal transcriptional activity. Stat3 can have a dual role in cancer, it has been found that Stat3 protein can promote oncogenesis and have a tumor suppressor role depending upon the mutational background of the tumor.

Description: KLF4 belong to the Kruppel like factors/Zinc fingers C2H2-type family. This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the Kruppel family of transcription factors. KLF4 can act both as activator and as repressor. It can bind the 5-CACCC-3 core sequence, the promoter region of its own gene, and can activate its own transcription. KLF4 regulates the expression of key transcription factors during embryonic development, playing an important role in maintaining embryonic stem cells, and in preventing their differentiation. This protein is required for normal development of the barrier function of skin postnatal, maintenance of the ocular surface, function in skeletal and kidney development, and thought to control the G1-to-S transition of the cell cycle following DNA damage by mediating the tumor suppressor gene p53. KLF4 may be associated with diseases such as Venous Hemangioma, Skin Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and pediatric lymphoma. Anti-KLF4 Antibody is useful for researchers interested in Peptide hormone metabolism, Stem Cell Differentiation Pathway Research, Wnt/Notch Pathway Research, and Cancer Research.

Description: RNA polymerase II (pol II) is a key enzyme in the regulation and control of gene transcription. It is able to unwind the DNA double helix, synthesize RNA, and proofread the result. Pol II is a complex enzyme, consisting of 12 subunits, of which the B1 subunit (UniProt/Swiss-Prot entry P24928) is the largest. Together with the second largest subunit, B1 forms the catalytic core of the RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Anti-Pol II S2p Antibody is ideal for research in Gene Expression, Transcription, and Genetics.

Description: PML is a transcription factor and tumor supressor which belongs to the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. This motif contains three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. PML regulates the response of p53 to oncogenic signals. It is often involved in a chromosomal translocation between chromosomes 15 and 17 which results in a PML/RARalpha fusion protein and is associated with most cases of acute promyelocytic leukemia. Anti-PML Antibody is ideal for research in Gene Expression, Cell Cycle Control and Cancer.

Description: PINK1 (PTEN induced putative kinase 1) is a mitochondrial serine/threonine kinase which maintains mitochondrial function/integrity, provides protection against mitochondrial dysfunction during cellular stress, potentially by phosphorylating mitochondrial proteins, and is involved in the clearance of damaged mitochondria via selective autophagy (mitophagy). PINK1 is synthesized as a 63 kD protein which undergoes proteolyt processing to generate at least two cleaved forms (55 kD and 42 kD). PINK1 and its substrates have been found in the cytosol as well as in different sub-mitochondrial compartments, and according to the recent reports; PINK1 may be targeted to OMM (outer mitochondrial membrane) with its kinase domain facing the cytosol, providing a possible explanation for the observed physical interaction with the cytosolic E3 ubiquitin ligase Parkin.
Defective PINK1 may cause alterations in processing, stability, localization and activity as well as binding to substrates/interaction-partners which ultimately leads to differential effects on mitochondrial function and morphology. Mutations in PINK1 are linked to autosomal recessive early onset Parkinson's disease, and are associated with loss of protective function, mitochondrial dysfunction, aggregation of alpha-synuclein, as well as proteasome dysfunction. Areas of interest and use for researchers include Neuroscience, mitochondrial function, and CDK-mediated phosphorylation pathways.

Description: Conjugated Anti-Monkey IgG (H&L) DyLight™ 680 Conjugated antibody generated in rabbit detects specifically monkey IgG heavy and light chains. Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75% of serum immunoglobulins. IgG binds to viruses, bacteria, as well as fungi and facilitates their destruction or neutralization via agglutination (and thereby immobilizing them), activation of the compliment cascade, and opsinization for phagocytosis. The whole IgG molecule possesses both the F(c) region, recognized by high-affinity Fc receptor proteins, as well as the F(ab) region possessing the epitope-recognition site. Both heavy and light chains of the antibody molecule are present. This DyLight™680 conjugated anti-Monkey IgG (H&L) secondary antibody is ideal for investigators who routinely perform immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and more general immunoassays. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment. The emission spectra for this DyLight™ conjugate match the principle output wavelengths of most common fluorescence instrumentation.

Description: LRFN4 is one of a family of five transmembrane glycoproteins that are highly expressed in neuronal tissues. LRFN proteins share leucine-rich repeat (LRR)-immunoglobulin-like (Ig)-fibronectin type III (Fn)-transmembrane domain structure with other members of the LRR-Ig-Fn protein superfamily such as the Slitrk family of proteins. Expression of LRFN1, -3, and -4 mRNA was detected in embryonic neuronal cells, while Lrfn2 and Lrfn5 expression was primarily restricted to more mature cells. LRFN1, -2, and -4 bound to PDZ domains of postsynaptic PSD95, re-distributing PSD95 to the cell periphery. It has been suggested that the Lrfn proteins play a role in the developing and/or mature vertebrate nervous system. At least two isoforms of LRFN4 are known to exist.
