Supplier: Genscript
Description: GenScript's Bis-Tris gels are high-performing polyacrylamide gels designed to separate a wide range of protein sizes by electrophoresis. The gels are cast in a neutral pH buffer that minimizes polyacrylamide hydrolysis and increases gel stability. Furthermore, the neutral pH which minimizes protein modification when compared to Tris-glycine gels.

Supplier: Invitrogen
Description: Western Blotting Filter Papers are pre-cut cotton sheets for wet or semi-dry, passive or electrophoretic transfer of proteins from polyacrylamide gels (SDS-PAGE) to PVDF, nitrocellulose, or other membranes.

Catalog Number: (10082-224)
Supplier: Proteintech
Description: SESN is a family of highly conserved, stress-inducible genes that can defend the cell against oxidative damage and oncogenic signaling. SESN2 ,which belongs to the SESN family, has been implicated as a tumor suppressor that can inhibit angiogenesis and promote autophagy, underscoring the importance of elucidating the molecular mechanism by which SESN2 regulates pathways of metabolism and survival.. Sesn2 encodes a 480 amino acid protein which can run as a 60 kDa band on SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.

Description: Use this system for rapid transfer of protein/peptide samples or nucleic acids from mini polyacrylamide gels to 8x10cm (33/16x315/16") or 10x10cm (315/16x315/16") membranes

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: A vitamin/enzyme cofactor found in milk, eggs, malted barley, liver, kidney, heart, leafy vegetables. Richest natural source is yeast. Occurs in the free form only in the retina of the eye, in whey, and in urine; bioactive forms occurring in tissues and cells are riboflavin monophosphate and flavine-adenine dinucleotide. Used as a photoinitiator for polymerization of polyacrylamide gels. It forms free radicals in aqueous solution in the presence of light. Riboflavin photodecomposes to leucoflavin. No free radicals are formed in the absence of oxygen but traces of oxygen allows for leucoflavin to reoxidize with free-radical generation. The catalysts TEMED or DMAPN are commonly added to speed up the free radical formation. The free radicals will cause acrylamide and bis-acrylamide to polymerize to form a gel matrix which can be used for electrophoresis. Riboflavin is commonly used in the stacking gel for non-denaturing polyacrylamide electrophoresis because native proteins can be senstive to persulfate ions from ammonium persulfate. Another advantage of riboflavin over ammonium persulfate is that it will not start polymerization until the gel is illuminated. Riboflavin causes less denaturing than other initiators. Gel strength can be improved when used with PTO (Pyrithione). Soluble in 0.1 M Sodium Hydroxide (50 mg/ml - clear, yellowish-orange solution); only slightly soluble in water.
