SDS-Page Running Gel Buffers, 10X Concentrate
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
SDS-PAGE, sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, describes a technique widely used in biochemistry to separate proteins according to their electrophoretic mobility (a function of the length of a polypeptide chain and its charge) and no other physical feature
SDS is an anionic detergent applied to protein sample to linearize proteins and to impart a negative charge to linearized proteins
This product is a 10X concentrated stock solution and should be diluted appropriately with distilled, deionized water (or equivalent) to its final working concentration. No pH adjustment is required. 10X SDS-PAGE Running Buffer consists of 0.25 M Tris HCl, 1.92 M Glycine and 1% (w/v) Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS); pH 8.3.
