Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: Anti-NEMO antibody was designed, produced, and validated as part of the Joy Cappel Young Investigator Award (JCYIA). Anti-NEMO antibody detects recombinant and endogenous NEMO. NEMO, the regulatory subunit of the IKK core complex, phosphorylates inhibitors of NF-kappa-B thus leading to the dissociation of the inhibitor/NF-kappa-B complex and ultimately the degradation of the inhibitor. Its binding to scaffolding polyubiquitin seems to play a role in IKK activation by multiple signaling receptor pathways. Nemo is also considered to be a mediator for TAX activation of NF-kappa-B and may be implicated in NF-kappa-B-mediated protection from cytokine toxicity. NEMO is essential for viral activation of IRF3 and involved in TLR3- and IFIH1-mediated antiviral innate response. The innate antivaral response from NEMO requires 'Lys-27'-linked polyubiquitination. Anti-NEMO is ideal for researchers interested in Immunology and Cancer research.

Catalog Number: (75929-610)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: The leucine-rich, glioma inactivated gene 1 (LGI1) was first identified as a candidate tumor suppressor gene for glioma and may play a role in other cancers. LGI1 is a member of a family of highly related proteins containing leucine-rich repeats (LRRs) which are highly similar to other transmembrane signaling molecules and receptors. LGI1 serves as a ligand to ADAM22, a metalloprotease localized at the synapse. Mutations in LGI1 account for nearly half of autodominant lateral temporal epilepsy (ADTLE), an epileptic syndrome characterized by focal seizures with predominant auditory symptoms. Two isoforms of LGI1 are known to exist; this LGI1 antibody will recognize only the longer form. Anti-LGI1 is ideal for research in Neuroscience and Cancer.

Description: Anti-viral innate immune responses are triggered by pathogen-associated molecular patters (such as the accumulation of intracellular nucleic acids resulting from virus infections) and represent the first line of defense against numerous infectious organisms. The Toll-like receptors (TLR) 3, 7, 8, and 9 are expressed in immune cells and function as transmembrane pattern recognition receptors to detect foreign nucleic acids. Other proteins that play similar roles, such as RIG-1 and MDA5 are members of a CARD-helicase family and are expressed in the cytoplasm. A third protein, LGP2, is similar to RIG-1 and MDA5, except for lacking a homologous CARD domain. It is thought to act as an element of negative-feedback regulation of intracellular antiviral signaling. At least four isoforms of LGP2 are known to exist.

Description: LIF is a pleiotropic cytokine with roles in several different systems. It is involved in the induction of hematopoietic differentiation in normal and myeloid leukemia cells, induction of neuronal cell differentiation, regulator of mesenchymal to epithelial conversion during kidney development, and may also have a role in immune tolerance at the maternal-fetal interface. LIF was initially recognized by its ability to induce terminal differentiation of myeloid leukemic cells. It is a member of the IL-6 cytokine superfamily and can be highly glycosylated. LIF signaling is transduced through the LIF-R/gp130 receptor complex, leading to the phosphorylation and activation of the JAK/STAT pathway. Recent evidence shows that LIF inhibits cardiomyogenesis in embryonic stem cells via STAT3 activation.

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: The LKB1 serine/threonine protein kinase was initially identified as a tumor suppressor gene mutated in human Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS), a condition resulting in the growth of numerous intestinal polyps classed as hamartomas. LKB1 exists as a heterotrimeric complex with two other proteins, Ste20-related adaptor protein (STRAD) and MO25. Together, this complex can phsophorylate and activate the AMP-activate protein kinase (AMPK). Following AMPK activation by LKB1, AMPK then phosphorylates TSC1 and TSC2, key components of the metabolism-regulating TOR signaling pathway, which antagonizes the activation for the TOR pathway. LKB1 has also been shown to play a fundamental role in controlling the spatial orientation of structures required to maintain an ordered, polarized epithelium.

Catalog Number: (RL600-401-693)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, immunochemistry and western blot.  Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at ~58 kDa in size corresponding to EGR-1 by western blotting.

Catalog Number: (RLKAS001)
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Description: The Loading Control Antibody Sampler Kit contains antibodies to a variety of housekeeping proteins. Loading controls are essential for the interpretation of western blot data. Loading control antibodies allow the verification of equal protein loading between samples. Ideal loading controls are expressed constitutively and at high levels with low variability between cell lines and experimental conditions. Also, the loading control should be at a different molecular weight than the protein of interest this allows the bands to be visually distinguishable. The Loading Control Antibody Sampler kit contains enough primary and secondary antibodies to perform ten western blots per loading control antibody.
