Primary Human Pulmonary Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HPMEC) are isolated from the lung from a single donor. The cells are routinely analyzed by immunofluorescent staining: they stain positive for CD31 and von Willebrand factor and negative for smooth muscle alpha-actin.
