Contaminated air from the space is continuously drawn in through the inlet at the bottom of the unit. The air first passes through the custom designed carbon pre-filter. This filters out larger particles and heavy dust while layers of activated carbon absorb volatile organic compounds (TVOCs).
Next, air enters the neutralization chamber, which is equipped with a patented combination of UVC and UVA light and other technologies, including PCO. Here, all remaining TVOCs are eliminated while particles as small as 0.1 micron, including viruses and other pathogens, are destroyed.
Finally, the purified air is propelled through high-grade ULPA filters to ensure total filtration of the smallest particles, even smaller than 0.1 micron. Each filter has an active carbon layer for extra VOC absorption. Pure, clean air leaves the unit through the heated air outlet on the sides of the ICON M unit.
