Alcian blue pH 2.5, multi-tissue control slides contain sections of positive staining umbilical cord, positive staining small intestine, and negative staining liver.

Newcomer supply alcian blue pH 2.5, multi-tissue control slides use a combination of tissue sources for the positive histochemical staining of acid epithelial mucins (sialomucin, sulfomucin) as well as stromal (mesenchymal) mucin.
Staining Results:
Acid epithelial mucins will stain blue.
Stromal (mesenchymal) mucin will stain blue.
Nuclei will stain pink-red.
Cytoplasm will stain pale pink.
Liver will stain negative for acid & stromal mucin.
These positive control slides are intended to be used to verify histological techniques and reagent reactivity. These slides are to be used for the qualitative purpose of determining positive or negative results, and are not intended to be used for any quantitative purpose.
Ordering information: All controls are cut in serial sections.
10 set = 10 unstained slides and 1 stained slide.

Reactivity of Histo control slides are guaranteed for one year from the date of receipt and should be revalidated after one year to verify continued reactivity.
Please note the following: In human tissue unless otherwise indicated. Histopathology control slides are not quality controlled for IHC methods, as such, we cannot guarantee antigenicity.
