CytoSelect™ 96-Well Cell Transformation Assay (Cell Recovery Compatible) is suitable for measuring cell transformation where cells may be recovered viable and intact after colonies are formed

This assay uses a special proprietary soft agar medium that allows solubilization without cell lysis. Cells are incubated in a semisolid agar medium for 7-8 days, where they are allowed to form colonies. The medium is then solubilized, and the cells may be either recovered for futher downsteam analysis or lysed and detected in a plate reader. Both colorimetric and fluorometric detection methods are available.

Total assay time is drastically reduced from 3 weeks to about 6-8 days, and no manual cell counting is required. Quantitation may be performed using the provided dye.
