Culture thousands of spheroids in a footprint similar to that of a T-75 flask.
- ULA surface coating
- Optically clear flask bottom for easy spheroid visualization
- Gas permeable polystyrene film microcavity substrate to support long-term 3D cell culture
- Working volume of 25 to 50 ml
- Simple ‘plug and play’ protocol for scaffold-free; self-assembly spheroid formation of large quantities
- Approximately 12000 spheroids of uniform size and shape per flask
- Ease of spheroid formation, culture, treatment, assessment, and harvest
- Spheroids can be cultured for extended time periods and passage from one flask to another
- 80 cm2 surface area with 152 microcavities per cm2 generate approximately 12000 spheroids of uniform size and shape per flask
- Microcavity geometry dimensions: 850×650 µm with working spheroid growth dimensions of 500×600 µm
- Liquid diverter feature to minimize impact of liquid flow during medium exchange steps and flask handling
The Corning Elplasia microcavity flask is a ‘plug and play’ solution that is ready-to-use, sterile, and requires no specialty reagents or stimulation to support the bulk production of approximately 12000 homogeneous spheroids, all in a footprint similar to that of a T-75 flask.
The unique microcavity geometry paired with the Corning Ultra-Low Attachment (ULA) surface and gas permeable substrate supports long-term culture. The Elplasia flask is designed like a traditional T-75 flask with a common media reservoir which enables easy imaging, handling, and collection of spheroids.
The Corning Elplasia 12K flask is compatible with many tumor, normal, and primary cell types often used for 3D cell culture, and may be used across many applications including:
• Drug screening
• Cancer/Tumor biology
• Stem cell biology
• Cell therapy research
• 3D tissue engineering
Packaging: 1/pack; 5/case.
