Assays ELISAs

This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detecting Human SP-B (Surfactant Protein B). The assay range is from 1.56 to 100 ng/ml (Sandwich kit) with a sensitivity of 0.59 ng/ml. There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins. Activity loss rate and accelerated stability test ect have been conducted to guarantee the best performance of the products after long storage and delivery.

  • High sensitivity and specificity
  • Perfect reproducibility and consistency across batches
  • Quality control with three-level inspections
  • Wide range of targets/species available
  • Intra-assay: CV<10%; Inter-assay: CV<12%

SP-B is expressed in pulmonary adenocarcinomas with acinar, papillary, bronchioloalveolar, and solid growth patterns. Squamous cell and large cell carcinomas of the lung and nonpulmonary adenocarcinomas do not express SP-B. Pulmonary surfactant-associated protein B' is a membrane protein which manufactures surfactant.Humans and animals born with a congenital absence of SP-B suffer from intractable respiratory failure. The SFTPB is an amphipathic surfactant protein essential for lung function and homeostasis after birth. Pulmonary surfactant is a lipid-rich material that prevents lung collapse by lowering surface tension at the air-liquid interface in the alveoli of lung. SPB enhances the rate of spreading and increases the stability of surfactant monolayers in vitro.
