Assays ELISAs

This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detecting Mouse D2D (D to Dimer). The assay range is from 617.3 to 50,000 pg/ml (Competitive kit) with a sensitivity of 243.7 pg/ml. There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins. Activity loss rate and accelerated stability test ect have been conducted to guarantee the best performance of the products after long storage and delivery.

  • High sensitivity and specificity
  • Perfect reproducibility and consistency across batches
  • Quality control with three-level inspections
  • Wide range of targets/species available
  • Intra-Assay: CV <10%, Inter-Assay: CV <12%

D-dimers are unique in that they are the breakdown products of a fibrin mesh that has been stabilized by Factor XIII. This factor crosslinks the E-element to two D-elements. This is the final step in the generation of a thrombus. Plasmin is a fibrinolytic enzyme that organizes clots and breaks down the fibrin mesh. It cannot, however, break down the bonds between one E and two D units. The protein fragment thus left over is a D-dimer. D-dimer concentration may be determined by a blood test to help diagnose thrombosis. Since its introduction in the 1990s, it has become an important test performed in patients suspected of thrombotic disorders. While a negative result practically rules out thrombosis, a positive result can indicate thrombosis but does not rule out other potential causes. Its main use, therefore, is to exclude thromboembolic disease where the probability is low.
