p-Nitrophenylalanine (4-Nph, Phe(4-NO₂)) is incorporated into peptides as a chromophore. In FRET substrates, it acts as quencher. Bachem also offers resin-bound Fmoc-Nph (Fmoc-p-nitro-Phe-Wang resin, D-1135).
