Septa HT are bleed and temperature optimized, and combined with outstanding mechanical properties, they are ideally suited for the highest temperature applications. They retain softness and pierceability at high temperatures, in addition to low injection port adhesion. Septa HT are blister packed to prevent absorption from the environment.

All septa operate to a maximum temperature of 400 °C (752 °F), with the exception of the 17 mm sizes, which offer a maximum temperature of 330 °C (626 °F).

All septa should be capable of being pierced and resealed time after time, without pieces of the septa being deposited in the GC inlet system. It is essential that the septa does not contaminate or bleed material into the chromatographic system.
