10-(4'-(N-diethylamino)butyl)-2-chlorophenoxazine, HCl

White solid. This cell-permeable, selective inhibitor of the phosphorylation of Akt and its in vitro kinase activity has a minimal effect on PI 3-K, PDK1, or SGK1. It is shown to suppress growth of rhabdomyosarcoma cell lines, inhibit IGF-I-stimulated nuclear translocation of Akt, and prevent phosphorylation of the downstream targets mTOR, p70S6 kinase, and S6 ribosomal protein. The mode of inhibition is not PH domain-dependent.

Packaged under inert gas. Hygroscopic. Protect from light. Store at 4°C (39°F). Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze at –20°C (–4°F). Stock solutions are stable for up to three months when frozen. For research use only, not intended for human or diagnostic use.
