Sterilization Indicators
Self-contained spore ampoules for monitoring industrial steam sterilization of liquids. Geobacillus stearothermophilus (ATCC 7953) 10⁶ spores per ampoule. (10×58 mm). 2 ml of culture medium. 50 (+)+5(-)/BX.

Bionova® BT23 self-contained spore ampoules have been designed for monitoring Steam sterilization processes at temperatures between 121 and 135 °C.

If the sterilization process was not effective, the indicator medium will turn to yellow after incubation between 55 to 62 ºC, thus indicating the presence of living Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores.

If the sterilization process was effective the indicator medium will remain the original color after incubation. The final readout should be performed after 48 hours of incubation between 55 to 62 °C.

Storage conditions:
T = 2 to 8 °C (refrigerated), RH = 30 to 80%, keep the product away from direct light. Storage at T <25 °C is possible for a period no longer than 15 days
