Nanodisc MSP1D1-dH5-His DMPG
Protein Expression Protein Expression Reagents

This product is a pre-assembled nanodisc. Its intended purpose is to stabilize a cell-free expressed membrane protein.

  • Usage: Enrichment of phosphopeptides, specific binding and purification of 6× His-tagged proteins
  • Specificity: Affinity to phosphorylated biomolecules
  • Bead ligand: Al-NTA
  • Bead size: 40 µm
  • Filling quantity: Delivered as a 50% suspension
  • Matrix: 7.5% crosslinked agarose
  • Chelator stability: Stable in buffer containing 10 mM DTT and 1 mM EDTA
  • pH stability: 2 to 14
  • Other stabilities: 100% methanol, 100% ethanol, 8 M urea, 6 M guanidinium hydrochloride, 30% (v/v) acetonitrile

Membrane scaffold proteins derive from apolipoprotein (apo; A-I). They are used in membrane protein sciences for the stabilization of membrane proteins in a lipid environment after the removal of the cell membrane. The size of the nanodisc is determined by the MSP that was used to create the disc. MSP1D1 dH5 (His-tagged) creates nanodiscs of ∼7 to 8 nm in diameter.

This product contains a His-tag, keep that in mind when choosing the affinity tag for your membrane protein.

Delivery information: Shipping temperature: Dry-Ice; storage of reconstituted protein: −80 °C, avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
