Tris-Acetate-EDTA (TAE) is a buffer solution containing a mixture of Tris base, acetic acid and EDTA. TAE suitable for multiple molecular biology applications including agarose electrophoresis for the separation of nucleic acids such as DNA and RNA.

Application Note: Tris-Acetate-EDTA (TAE) is a concentrated stock solution and should be diluted appropriately with distilled, deionized water or equivalent to its final working concentration. Tris-Acetate-EDTA (TAE) consists of 0.4 M Tris-Acetate, 0.01 M EDTA at a pH of 8.5. Meticulously prepared using ultra pure reagents dissolved in highly polished pharmaceutical grade deionized water.
