Anti-GRIN2B Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Antibodies
The NMDA receptor (NMDAR) plays an essential role in memory, neuronal development and it has also been implicated in several disorders of the central nervous system including Alzheimer’s, epilepsy and ischemic neuronal cell death. Overexpression of the NR2B-subunit of the NMDA Receptor has been associated with increases in learning and memory while aged, memory impaired animals have deficiencies in NR2B expression. Phosphorylation of Ser1166 is thought to play an essential role in memory and neuronal development. NMDA pS1166 Recepor NR2B Subunit Antibody is ideal for researchers interested in neuroscience research.

Anti-Phospho-Ser1166 NMDA Receptor NR2B Subunit Antibody is stored with 100 μg per ml BSA. It is suitable for Western Blots and is specific for the ~180 kDa NMDAR NR2B subunit phosphorylated at Ser1166. Immunolabeling of the NMDA NR2B subunit band is blocked by the phosphopeptide used as the antigen but not by the corresponding dephosphopeptide. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
