100 mM Solution with 8.5 g/L NaCl Sodium pyruvate is often used as a component in culture broth and media as an energy source for propagating cells. This reagent is also used in Wallen fermentation medium to enhance the conversion of oleic acid to 10-ketostearic acid.

It is provided as a 100 mM Solution with 8.5 g/L NaCl.
