The Glucose Hexokinase Reagent Set is for the in vitro quantitative measurement of glucose in serum
The formation of NADH causes increase in absorbance at 340 nm which is directly proportional to the concentration of glucose in the sample.
The Olympus reagent is for use on the Beckman Coulter AU 400, 480, and 640 analyzers and is for in vitro diagnostic use only. There are six 66 mL Reagent bottles in this kit.
Glucose is phosphorylated by hexokinase (HK) in the presence of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and magnesium to form glucose-6-phosphate (G-6-P) and adenosine diphosphate (ADP). G-6-P is then oxidized by glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PDH) in the presence of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) producing 6-phosphogluconate and NADH.
Certifications: CE Certified, Canada Health
